I pay my employees allowances and the Reconciliation report and INB Payment Summary gross figures do not match

Question

Why does the gross figure of the plain paper INB payment summary differ from the gross figure in the reconciliation report?

Answer

This issue only occurs if you have been paying your employees allowances.

If the allowances have been set up as "Display Allowances in 'Payment Summary' or 'Display in Gross in Payment Summary' and in the pay run if the '% Or Units' is selected with a figure other than '1', then you would expect the figures between the reconciliation report and payment summary to be the same.

In Payroll Premier 2006/07, the figures displayed in the 'Reconciliation Report' for Gross are correct, however, the gross figures displayed on the plain paper 'INB Payment summary' are incorrect.

In order to fix this issue you need to install the latest version of the Payroll Premier payment summary update, available from:

https://www.quicken.com.au/support/updates/QuickPayroll/PayrollPremier2006-07update.aspx

You need to install this even if you have already installed a previous version of the update. The web page includes instructions for how to check which version of the update you have installed.
You need to have Payroll Premier Service Pack 1 installed before you can install this update. The update page includes instructions for how to check if you have SP1 installed.

Once you have installed the latest update, open Payroll Premier 06/07 and generate the reports. The gross figures should now match.
