Question

Govconnect is failing with error ‘GovconnectAS.exe has stopped working’ going past the Prefill stage and unable to lodge the BAS. How can I fix it?

This solution applies Reckon Accounts desktop only. For Hosted, there will be a new release for Govconnect soon.

Solution:

The issue occurs for some GovConnect user after there were some changes to the structures of prefill data sent by ATO.

To resolve the issue, please uninstall the current Govconnect from your PC and install the new version (GovConnect1.0.1.6) from here. https://downloads.reckon.com.au/GovConnect1016.exe
