Payroll Premier 2020/21 New Tax Scales Files

Question

With the new Federal Budget for 2020/21 released, there is a new tax table update. How can I get these new tax scales for Payroll Premier 2020/21?

Answer

We have prepared tax update files to update Payroll Premier 2020/21 without the need of reinstalling.

Download Qtax.tps and Qtaxinfo.tps files from here.

Copy and paste these files and replace the outdated files from C:\QPRollV29\data

Detailed steps.

  1. Close Payroll Premier 2020/21.
  2. Download the Qtax.tps and Qtaxinfo.tps files.
  3. Go to the Download Folder (or location that you have selected for the download) and copy both files.
  4. Now go to the installation directory for Payroll Premier 2020/21, and to the data Folder usually C:\ QPRollV29\Data
  5. Paste Qtax.tps and Qtaxinfo.tps files in data folder and replace the existing files when prompted “file already exists’
  6. Open Payroll Premier 2020/21 again.
  7. To confirm you have successfully applied the new tax scales, go to Lists > PAYG Tax Scales. The "Last Update" column should display 13/10/2020. See below:

This will now replace the older 2019/2020 PAYG Tax scales with the new 2020/2021 tax scales.

For networking multi user setup payroll, please also copy the Qtax.tps and Qtaxinfo.tps in to the data folder where the payroll data file is saved and replace the existing Qtax.tps and Qtaxinfo.tps files.
