No Share Price Download for 20 and 21 November 2014

Question

Why couldn’t I download share prices on the 20th and 21st November 2014?  Although I can download share prices now I am missing data for those days.

 

Answer

The Share Price Download service experienced difficulties on those days and in the process of restoring the service, the data files for those days was lost.

Reckon apologies for the inconvenience this has caused.

 

We have been able to restore some data for these days – the Closing Price.  Please follow the steps below to import this data into your Reckon Accounts Personal database.

 

 

Detail Instructions

1.    Before you start we suggest you backup your datafile:

a.    File > Backup

2.    Download the share price data for these days from:

a.    https://library.reckon.com.au/library/csv/SharePriceData_21Nov2014.csv

b.    https://library.reckon.com.au/library/csv/SharePriceData_20Nov2014.csv

and save them to your Desktop.

3.    Open Reckon Accounts Personal and import these files:

a.    Investing > Portfolio > File > File Import > Import Prices

4.    In the Import Price Data window, in the File field, enter the full path of the first share price data file: 

a.    For example:   Desktop\SharePriceData_20Nov2014.csv

5.    In the Date field, enter the first date:  20/11/2014.

6.    Click OK to import the share prices

7.    Repeat steps 3 to 6 to import the second day.

 

Your datafile is now updated with the Closing Prices for the 2 missed days. 

 

 

 

Additional Information

If you require High and Low prices and volume for these days you will need to access other sources such as your Broker, Reckon HUBB Investor, the Business section of the newspaper or sites like eoddata.

To edit the data for a share:

1.    Right-click the share and select Price History

2.    Highlight the date (eg: 20/11/2014) and click on Edit

3.    In the Edit box add the High, Low and Volume data

4.    Click OK to save.
