Cannot assign some position names to an employee

Question

Why can’t I assign some positions to an employee in Payroll Premier?  For instance, I’ trying to assign the new position of Assistant Designer but Payroll premier will only assign Assistant Director.

 

Answer

Use a name that does not start with a word used in another position. 

 

The Issue.

When you try to assign a new position name, and that name starts with a word that another position starts with, Payroll Premier will assign the existing position to the new employee and not allow you to create a position with the same starting word as another position. 

 

Workaround

Use another word or combination of words in the new position title.
