Unable to select/unselect employees from the EMPDUPE wizard

Question

I’m trying to create an EMPDUPE file and wish to untick some employees from the list. However, I’m not able to untick the employees. ‘Select None’ or ‘Select All’ button is not working either. How do I remove the employee from the EMPDUPE list?

Answer

We have identified this issue in our latest 2017/18 release of the Payroll Premier. Our Product Development team is investigating the issue and would like to apologise for the inconvenience.

Workaround:

The workaround to exclude the employee from the EMPDUPE file is to select the option ‘Exclude from Payment summaries’ for those employees under the taxation tab. Although the employee will be listed on the initial export wizard, it will not be included on the actual export file.

You can double check this by opening the EMPDUPE file in the notepad.

Note With this option the employee will not be receiving the payment summary too.
