Cash Flow Projector crashes QuickBooks

Legacy KB ID: 3587

Question

Why does QuickBooks 2010/11 crash when I close the Cash Flow Projector?

Answer

This problem will be encountered by QuickBooks 2010/11 on a PC where an earlier version of QuickBooks is installed.  To make QuickBooks 2010/11 compatible with 64-bit systems it uses a later version of an Amyuni PDF driver file.  The presence of the older version driver file causes QuickBooks 2010/11 to crash.

Solution

Rename the older versions of the Amyuni PDF driver files:

1.    Close QuickBooks

2.    Click on the Windows Start button and select Computer or My Computer;

3.    Go to C:\WINDOWS\system32;

4.    Locate and rename the following DLL files:

a.    cdintf251.DLL to cdintf251.old

b.    cdintf300.DLL to cdintf300.old

5.    Launch QuickBooks.

Cash Flow Projector will now not crash QuickBooks 2010-11, or any earlier version of QuickBooks, when you close it.

Note:

The cdintf251.dll and cdintf300.dll files are generic files for Amyuni PDF drivers. If any other third party software is using these files then that third party software may no longer function properly.  System Administrators should confirm that their system does not run any software that is dependent on these files before renaming them.
